Every once in a while a new technology kills off a piece of know how the world once depended on. Craigslist came along and killed off the art of abbreviating in classified ads. Email stopped us from learning which side of the envelope the stamp goes on. Facebook obliterated the first date. However none can compare to the tragic loss of crossing your eyes to decipher scrambled tv stations.

ScrambledLateNight.tv was created to preserve this tradition and teach future generations about this lost art.

In 2011 Maria took her Christmas celebrating to a whole new level. Instead of curling up in the fetal position during the off-season, she spent her time learning html, css, php, and all those other acronyms so that she could better decorate the Internet. She spent her time registering domain names, making videos, and—in true Maria fashion—handcrafting her own websites to spread the word of the Target 2-Day Sale.

Here are just some of sites we made.

The 2010 Target Holiday campaign featured commercials scored by popular and up and coming artists. Online we created a series of simple videos in honor of the classic YouTube meme of people taping spinning records in order to get their favorite song online. Ours featured the full length versions of the songs from the commercials and the occasional Santa.

Our videos and the playlist they were featured in quickly spread across the Internet both because of people sharing their new favorite song and people sending the songs as Christmas cards via the Target app we built our playlist into.

How many views can a spinning record get? Without a doubt I can say millions.

Here is a sample of some of the videos we made featuring Guster, Blackalicious, Coconut Records, Jemaine Clement and Natalie Hemby.

Here are some screens from the addition we made to the Target app.

Nova Zap is a low impact game we designed and presented as part of a contest to help PBS Nova become more than a show to the next generation of kids.It tracks your Internet usage and awards you points, Joules, based on the sites you are visiting and the length of time you are spending on them. Nova is more than a game, it is a way for future generations to build better Internet habits.

The video below will walk you through the game experience. Edited and narrated by Natalie Hammel.

It isn’t everyday you get to give Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar and all the other energy drinks the middle finger all at once. So when my friends approached me about their brand Drink Water I was immediately on board to help make it a reality. Drink Water’s goal is simple, raise awareness about just how bad these energy drinks are and just how good a simple glass of water can be.

I helped create and launch WeDrinkWater.com. As of right now Drink Water apparel is selling around the world and has been covered on Transworld Snowboarding, both the online and print edition of the New York Times and every blog in between.

We all know the end is coming. One way or another this world is not going to last forever. Whether it be a meteor that Ben Affleck was suppose to blow up, the melting of the ice caps resulting in a world where Costner is king, or a magical disease that makes everyone crave brains, the end is going to a crazy time.

DoomsdayMaps.com is here to help! Visit Doomsday Maps for all your post apocalyptic needs. Just enter in your address what the problem is (zombies, vampires, water world etc.) and Doomsday Maps will provide you with the information you need to know to survive or at least have fun.

In 2008 Vans launched the Forty-Four Hi, a shoe that has been mia since the early 80's. To help launch the shoe they chose a person, store, or brand to design a shoe for their region. I was chosen to design a shoe to represent the Southeast both because of the popularity of Hospitality and my past experience designing shoes for DC Shoe Co.

The shoes were quickly picked up by fashion and skate blogs resulting in the shoes selling out almost over night.

Bike City is a smartphone game we designed for people to use while riding around town.

Bike City not only tells you the safest way to get from point A to B by bike, it turns every ride into a token-collecting adventure. The more tokens you get, the more discounts are waiting for you at your participating restaurants and bike shops.

Bike City as of right now is just an idea but we are feverishly shopping it around in hopes of one day turning it into a reality.

We also designed the online interface for merchants to update their deals and rides.

Before this whole advertising thing; I ideated, built, merchandised and ran a menswear store in Richmond, VA named Hospitality. We built out the interior, wood floors, built ins and all, to resemble the classic southern homes that surrounded the store. What we didn't build I found at antique stores or estate sales.

When I wasn’t in the store I was travelling to tradeshows and showrooms around the country maintaining the brands we had and picking up new ones as I discovered them. Over time we developed a loyal fan base with people driving from around the state to come visit the store.
