About Me
Hello there, as you may have already guessed my name is Drew Dayberry and I am a Creative Technologist.
I'm a Creative first and foremost but I am also an undercover nerd. Just like an Art Director marries Design and Creativity I combine Creativity and Technology. I understand what technology works when and why. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Too many campaigns are scarred with the flavor of the week technology. I don't believe that technology has to be the star of every campaign but no matter where it is in the campaign you need someone behind it who understands the craft behind creativity and technology.
The quote above from MacGyver is what I am all about, not technology because I can but technology because I understand what is needed and how it works.
When I am not chained to a desk at the Brandcenter I can be found outside, either riding my bike around town or running errands on my scooter. The Brandcenter has kept me busy the last two years but I have found to keep the rest of life in balance by either dreaming up crazy side projects or escaping the city with friends.
Entering Monument Valley in a rented Kia Spectra with a camera mounted on the hood. I made it out alive.
Exploring the coast near Bodega Bay.
A Tilt-A-Whirl somewhere in the middle of nowhere Kentucky.
The car I had to sell to make it through The Brandcenter.
As of right now my bed is in Virginia but I'm always excited to go somewhere new.
The Searchers is the best movie ever made. John Ford, John Wayne and Monument Valley.
Not sure how I get myself into these situations. ROFLthing Conference 2009.
Somewhere off the 101.
Second Annual Red Bull River Race hosted by Hospitality and Red Bull that I organized. Somehow the air mattress got me, the furniture and whoever wanted to join all the way down the rapids. Unfortunately my grill did not survive the journey.
Spent two weeks with friends in Barcelona on a skateboard trip, we did manage to make time for the culture and ironic mustaches. Beautiful city.
